Communicating with BAIP
Have you ever had a question about BAIP? Have you ever found an error in one of the BAIP resources? Have you ever logged into your account only to be taken to an unfamiliar alert screen? All of these situations involve you wanting to contact BAIP or BAIP contacting you! Today we'll talk a little bit about you can contact us and how we'll contact you.
If you go the main BAIP website (http://baip.elearndesign.org) you'll see a "Contacts" link in the upper right corner of the web page. If you're looking to email or call the BAIP main offices click on this link to get the contact information for some real life humans who would be happy to clear up any problem or answer any question you might be having.
If you log into your BAIP account, the same "Contacts" link will be found in the same spot on the page, but now it will also include a listing of all the local BAIP contacts in your district. Why would you want a local contact when you could just call the main offices. Often time your local contacts can address your issues more quickly. Maybe your question pertains to how your district uses BAIP. In that case a local contact would probably be far more helpful than someone at the main office.
After logging in you'll also see a "Report Error" and an "Alerts" link next to your "Contacts" link. If you are having any issue with BAIP, going through our "Error Reporting" system creates a slightly more formal paper trail as compared to email. Additionally, if your problem is specifically with a BAIP lesson or tutorial, additional fields will help you identify the exact resource where the trouble is occurring so we can better serve you.
The "Alerts" link is how we at BAIP contact you! Because we at BAIP don't want to spam emails, we send community wide messages passively through our alert system. Instead of going to your email in box, alerts get attached to your BAIP account. BAIP tracks if you've seen an alert yet, and if you haven't, on your next login BAIP will take you automatically to any unseen alerts. For this reason you may occasionally log into BAIP and wind up on an unfamiliar alerts page. Just click that you've seen the alert and BAIP will kindly redirect you to your regular account landing spot. And if you ever want to view an alert again, simply click the "Alerts" link to view or remove your old alerts.
And that's a brief overview of how you can contact BAIP and how we might contact you!
Thank-you!
