BAIP News

BAIP Update
As we have learned from the BAIP experience, we have given the majority of our attention to translating what we have learned into needed revisions of lessons and/or tutorials. That has been our commitment as teachers have shared their insights and as we have collected data. At the same time, we feel a sense of obligation to report what we have learned to a broader audience of professionals nationally who share our interests.

Throughout the history of BAIP, we have presented at conferences on what we have been learning. Over the past couple of years, we began to submit papers for publication. Each paper addresses a different aspect of what has been learned. Beginning with this issue, we will be providing links to published papers. The title of the paper for this issue of the BAIP Bulletin is “The Role of Instructional Planning in Math Instruction for Students with Learning Disabilities.” Click Here to view the paper (PDF)

New Videos and Manuals
As experienced users of BAIP, you probably have become comfortable with the structure of the mathematic lessons and tutorials. This year, we have expanded the system to include parent and science resources. As such, we thought it would be helpful to provide short videos and manuals explaining the resources and the web site.

You can now access new manuals and revised video resources online by following the steps below:

  1. Log into BAIP
  2. Click the ‘My Classes’ tab at the top of the page,
  3. Next click the ‘Getting Started Videos’ button on the left side of the page
  4. Then select the video or manual you would like to access.
We hope you find these new resources helpful. We want to be as responsive as we can to your needs and share information as you need it, so please don’t hesitate to offer suggestions on how we can best improve or expand these resources.
