Tech Updates
New math lessons and tutorials will be appearing in your accounts this summer.
These new resources will not only be aligned to Kansas standards, but will also be aligned with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Standards (NCTM).
You'll find these new resources just as you do other BAIP lessons and tutorials. Teachers will click the "My Content" tab and navigate through the kansas indicator hierarchy until they find their desired content area. The new resources will simply show up as new numbered items. For example, if an indicator currently shows 2 lesson, (buttons '1' and '2'), a new NCTM lessons will show up as button '3', with a caveat. This button will also have a small icon indicating that's its not just a Kansas resource but also a NCTM resource.
If a lesson is marked as an NCTM lesson, be aware that it might be slightly broader or narrower in scope than the Kansas indicator it's aligned with. For example, an NCTM lesson might teach rounding to the nearest thousands place instead of the nearest hundreds place.
