Content Updates

Tutorial Revisions
We are currently revising the tutorial design to include enhanced instructional features, which will be available as early as December. Each tutorial will have additional instructional components and will allow students two opportunities to answer each question.

Management System
Last year, we received several suggestions on how to improve the efficiency of assigning tutorials to students. As a result, we have made a minor change in the tutorial assignment page. Although the changes are minor, they will greatly affect the ease to which you will be able to assign tutorials to more than one class. Please read the tech update to learn more about the changes.

New products
The BAIP staff is currently working on additional BAIP resources. These include expanded resources for students with disabilities (including KAMM lessons) and resources for parents of all students. All of the resources will be aligned with the current lessons and tutorials. We are also pleased to announce the development of a science version of BAIP. Planning for science began last January through input from science coordinators and teachers statewide. We are now working with science educators in the development of lessons. Work will begin in the fall on the design and development of science tutorials.

Recruitment of science and KAMM writers
We have been very pleased with the content developers we have recruited from the schools throughout the history of BAIP. As we expand BAIP resources, we are again in the process of recruiting writers. The areas of major need are in science and the KAMM lessons in mathematics. If you know of potential writers or if you are interested in writing BAIP lessons, please email Cheryl Harrod at charrod@ku.edu.
