BAIP News
BAIP Availability for Next Year
We have been receiving inquiries about the availability of BAIP for next year. Our intent is to make an expanded and improved version of BAIP available to Kansas teachers (lessons) and students (tutorials). No decision on the process has been made by KSDE; however, once a decision is made we will notify superintendents, curriculum coordinators, and principals by email, alerting them to the process. We know that they receive many emails, so we encourage you to remind them that they will soon receive a message regarding how to register your district for accessing BAIP in the fall. In the interim, we continue to work on the following additions to BAIP-Math for release in the fall.
- Parent Resources including 138 Parent Activity Sheets aligned with lessons, an online vocabulary containing approximately 740 terms and tips for parents on working with their children on homework.
- KAMM lessons for teachers on modified assessments. Our goal is to provide 183 KAMM lessons aligned with indicators.
- An enhanced BAIP management system to facilitate teacher use of BAIP.
- Revised lessons and tutorials where teacher feedback has provided direction needed for improvements or clarification.
Our plan is to make as much progress as possible this summer on these tools. The biggest challenge is in the development of KAMM lessons, but we will begin the fall with a substantial number ready for release. The vocabulary for parents will include graphics and animated graphics when necessary. We will keep you informed.
